Upgrading

Terminal window
docker compose stop armarium
cp -a /mnt/media/armarium/config /mnt/media/armarium/config.bak # armarium.db and the keys
docker compose pull armarium
docker compose up -d

Database changes run by themselves when Armarium starts, and they only go forward. The copy of /config is your way back: restore it and start the previous image.

  • :main follows every change to the main branch. Convenient, and occasionally surprising.
  • Version tags (:0.1.0, :0.1) for each release. Pin one to choose when you upgrade.

Each image bundles a specific, tested version of Libation’s command-line tool. New Libation releases reach you through a new Armarium image, after Armarium has been checked against them; you don’t need to update Libation separately.
